Hot Tub Breaker Box

electrically connected to a new spa?
I just got a new bath tub and I'm about to electrical connection … I was wondering if there is a safety issue or the convenience of having a side panel w / switch of the bath …. I could run power directly to my main breaker box and use a GFCI does not ???…. im not worried not the convenience factor … . that safety and cheapest way …. Any feedback is greatly appreciated …. Thank you …. Derek
You have a ground fault and half foot in most areas. This means that you must disconnect near the spa. County requires 5 feet of the tub. In fact, Article 680-12 of NEC states that hot tubs should have the means of disconnection with 5 feet of the bathtub. Article 680 baskets of securities, as well as hot tubs and be GFCI protected well, but you know.
